Hey people. I finally got around to putting a contest up on my contest page, and no one is entering. I’m seriously going to have to waggle my finger if things don’t improve. Now the prize is a very nice ballcap, tastefully embroidered, which I will upload a picture of right now.

Wow, talk about a quick turnabout. Last Thursday, I drove to work in a raging blizzard and tonight it was nice enough to take my bike for its first official ride of the year. Yah!!!. I charged the battery up last Sunday, and dropped it in after work today. Then I prayed to all the Gods of antique bikes, closed my eyes, pulled the choke out and hit the starter. And it chugged a few times, and then roared to life. There’s nothing quite like the sound of my bike when it’s been silent for five long cold months. I didn’t plan to go for a ride but I just couldn’t resist. I put on the heavy duty leathers ( it’s still a little cold) and the full helmet and went cruising. I have a rule of thumb – it has to be at least 5 degress, or I don’t take the bike out. It’s not a hard and fast rule, I’ve broken it numerous times, but it’s a good one. I know it’s not going to be anywhere near warm enough to take the bike to work at 6:00 am tomorrow morning, but at least I had tonight. And hey, the weekend is just around the corner!

I finished my current WIP and to celebrate, I’ve finally started my monthly contest that I’ve been promising since Christmas, so check out the contest page and send in your entry. It’s so simple even I could do it,LOL. The prize is a cool baseball cap, signed by yours truly, ( that would be me) It’s almost midnight here, so I’m heading to bed but tomorrow,or whenever I locate my camera, I’ll upload an image of it.
