Well, summer in the Okanagan is starting to live up to it’s name. It’s been 30degrees plus up here for the past couple of weeks. Luckily there’s a swimming hole in the river – just a bit down the road and I spend alot of time soaking in it.

It certainly hasn’t been a good summer for my motorcycle. I have a 1981 Yamaha that I am slowly restoring – every time a bit breaks, I have to replace it LOL! Last year I replaced the rear sprocket, the battery, the chain, and all the signal light casing. So far this year I’ve replaced both tires ( they were the originals so I can’t complain), the windshield, and now I have to replace the gas cap assembly. It froze shut and the only way in way to drill it out. Since I need to be able to put gas in if I don’t want to push it, I couldn’t very well ignore it. I guess I should have lubricated it occasionally. Huh, who knew? I ordered a new one online from Bikebandits.com so it should get here this week. Then I’ll stand outside and look confused and one of the neighourhood guys will come over and install it for me. :-)

I just finished up my current WIP – Mating Ritual so I have to go do some self-editing on it before I send it off to my Editor. Then I think I’ll go back to the river for the afternoon.
